Il Professor Mathieu interverrà al convegno EUBS nelle giornate del 15 e 16 settembre durante le sessioni dedicate a ““ECHM Workshop” and “HBOT and Diabetes”
Professor Mathieu, could you please explain which areas and specific issues your business is focused on?
As a Critical Care specialist, my first interest in the hyperbaric field is the indication of HBO in acute conditions such as carbon monoxide poisoning, necrotizing soft tissue infection and limb crush injury. However, the role of HBO in wound healing, because of its pathophysiological insight and clinical importance, is one of my main topics of research and clinical practice.
What will be the topic of your speech at the EUBS Congress?
My speech will be about HBO and diabetic foot lesion considered from an evidence-based point of view, as we did in the last ECHM consensus conference.
In your opinion, what are the three factors that have most influenced and changed the sector you are dealing with?
Multidisciplinary approach, objective selection criteria for HBO and deeper involvement in research, both basic and clinical, are the 3 main factors which hyperbaric medical community should focus on for the next 10 years.
Ringraziamo il professor Mathieu per la disponibilità e un arrivederci a EUBS 2017!
